Michael Feathers All Books Editorial Review
The customer reviews of the book "Working Effectively with Legacy Code" are generally positive, with several customers praising the insight it provides into writing testable code. One reviewer specifically highlights the book's applicability to both legacy and non-legacy code bases, appreciating the author's writing style and the comfortable read it offers. Another reviewer recommends the book for anyone writing software with others, emphasizing its guidance in transitioning messy code to a more rational state. However, one customer finds the book to be somewhat tedious and complex at times, with abstract concepts that may not be as engaging. Despite this, the reviewer still suggests it as a must-read for programmers dealing with legacy code. Overall, the book seems to be well-regarded for its valuable insights into writing testable code, especially in the context of dealing with legacy systems.
