The TPT Slide Knife is a great tool to use for general use cutting, such as opening packages or small tasks around the house. It is well-built, sturdy and the screws don't strip easily as compared to other knives. The sliding action is smooth, and the size and weight of the tool make it portable and easy to carry around. It also comes with a clip that can be attached to your belt or pocket for easy access. The knife can be taken with you on planes by dumping the blade and buying a small pack of blades once you arrive at your destination. However, the blade that comes with the knife is NOT a razor, but it does have a safety blade on one end that can be used to cut tape on boxes. On the downside, the blade dulls quickly on this knife, and it is tough to change the blade out. Also, while some have easily swapped out blades, others have found it difficult and unsafe to do so. The slide action of the blade also scrapes the inside channel of the knife, dulling it even further. The blade also seems to require a particular angle and amount of pressure to open, which can be frustrating to some users. Additionally, for the price, it would be better if the blade functioned better and came with more useful features.
