Kids & Family Editorial Review
**** The DVD release of *Top Cat - The Complete Series* has garnered a positive response from reviewers who fondly remember the classic cartoon. Fans praise the quality of the video, noting that while the image retains interlacing artifacts, they are not overly distracting on modern displays. The accuracy of the subtitles is acknowledged, even if a few lines have been simplified for clarity. The series itself is regarded as a timeless gem of animated television, with reviewers highlighting the clever writing, iconic characters, and jazzy music that complement the humor perfectly. The standout performances of the voice actors, particularly Arnold Stang as Top Cat, are celebrated for adding depth and vibrancy to their characters. Each character, from the endearing Benny the Ball to the bumbling Officer Dibble, is crafted with distinct personalities that appeal to audiences of all ages. One of the standout episodes, “Hawaii Here We Come,” is noted for its humor and creativity, giving viewers a delightful taste of the show’s charm. Critics acknowledge the fantastic extras included in the DVD, such as insightful interviews and behind-the-scenes documentaries, which enhance the viewing experience. However, there’s a minor critique regarding disc four being double-sided, which requires flipping, but this does not significantly detract from the overall enjoyment. Overall, *Top Cat* is seen as essential viewing for fans of classic animation, and many believe the series deserves a broader appreciation and recognition in the realm of television history. **
