You need to glue and paint the parts, and the glue and paints are not included in the package. The assembled model measures just under 32 inches tall, including the base. There is no light kit available for the 1/144 model, but you can find light kits for the Lego Saturn V. The plastic is corrugated in most areas, and painting it can be a bit challenging due to corrugation. You can use commonly available model paints like Testors or Humbrol, enamel spray for plastics or a hobby spray gun for a better finish.
